Abstract<\/strong>: This forum paper explores the evolving landscape of teacher education for global competence in a \u2018post-global\u2019 era by adopting a cross-European perspective encompassing Italy, Portugal, and Slovakia. The forum begins with an introduction providing an overview of global competence and its implications for teacher education in a \u2018post-global\u2019 world. The forum then explores how different European societies are adapting their teacher education programmes to cultivate globally competent teachers amidst the resurgence of nationalism and populism. The forum then summarises these arguments, underscoring the challenges and opportunities presented by \u2018post-globalisation\u2019 for teacher education. The paper concludes by advocating for innovative pedagogical strategies and international collaboration to ensure that teacher education programmes remain relevant and responsive to both global and local realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
