O seu principal objetivo \u00e9 sensibilizar para a globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da l\u00edngua inglesa e o seu impacto na educa\u00e7\u00e3o, abrangendo o ensino de ingl\u00eas, o ensino de outras disciplinas em ingl\u00eas e quest\u00f5es relacionadas com a educa\u00e7\u00e3o, l\u00ednguas e internacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o em diversos contextos educativos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A rede ELINET est\u00e1 dividida em duas vertentes: <em>Global Englishes<\/em> e <em>English Medium Instruction<\/em> (EMI). A equipa de <em>Global Englishes<\/em> explora a difus\u00e3o global da l\u00edngua inglesa e como esta funciona como l\u00edngua franca num mundo multilingue. Os membros e coordenadores da rede exploram as implica\u00e7\u00f5es desse contexto para os curr\u00edculos de ensino da l\u00edngua inglesa, a educa\u00e7\u00e3o lingu\u00edstica e os contextos EMI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A equipa de EMI, por sua vez, investiga a globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da l\u00edngua inglesa, com foco na sua utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o como meio de ensino em todo o mundo.
